Test 101

At the time of writing, I have planned 22 “lessons” – but there may be more in the future. Of the planned lessons, nine are now available via the links below. The remaining lessons will be available before summer 2021.

If you have ANY comments, corrections, or suggestions, please contact me on mail via henrik@thebourbonnerd.com or send me a message on Instagram, via my profile @the_bourbon_nerd.

Each lesson takes 10-15 minutes to complete and no prior knowledge about Bourbon, Rye or other whiskey types are required. The lessons are free and will always remain so. I only do this to spread to good word about American whiskey.

As the name indicates, this is where it all starts, and I cover the legal definition of Bourbon as well as another couple of tidbits.

Somewhat surprising, the alcohol content will often increase over time in the barrels. This lesson explains why.

Sounds like a small insignificant technical detail, right? It is not – and you will learn why.

Lesson 13: “What does the term BARREL ENTRY PROOF mean?

This may be the nerdiest of all the lessons – but you will quickly understand why I’m so passionate about this topic.

You have most likely heard the term – and here I will give you the details.
